Melbourne's 4x4 Show doubles their catch

Show organisers from Melbournes National 4x4 & Outdoors Show, Fishing and Boating Expo have announced a fishing bonanza, dubbing the fishing component at this years event to be the biggest in the shows history.

As one of Australias favourite leisure activities and sporting pursuits, fishing has been made a principal part of the 2010 show with over 40 fishing stands, plus additional displays.

Mark Petersen from the National 4x4 & Outdoors Show, Fishing and Boating Expo believes the show is the strongest it has ever been with fishing exhibitors doubling since 2009.

The Fishing and Boating Show is going to be huge and will be the most interactive show visitors have ever seen. There is going to be a great variety of guest speakers and presenters on the main fishing, the AFN angling workshops, plus great fishing prizes up for grabs.

There will be a monstrous amount of fishing gear on display and great bargains to be had in the fishing clearance sales including the popular Paul Worsteling's Tackleworld Annual Tent Sale.

It doesnt matter if you deep sea, bay, fly, beach or kayak fish, fish for Snapper, Tuna, Trout, Marlin or any other type of fish, there will be goods for you.

Along with all the products and interactive displays, there will be a number of fishing charters within Victoria, Australia and in the Pacific Islands."

A great variety of exhibitors will be at the expo with the latest in products and services plus hundreds of thousands of dollars in fishing equipment clearance sales, not forgetting the newest in trailer boats, kayaks and accessories.

For expert advice and entertainment, the main Fishing Stage will host special guests including IFISHs Paul Worsteling, 3AWs David Kramer and Wayne Sharky Sharrock.

The Yamaha Supertank with Michael Cookie Cook will be showcasing the latest in lures and soft plastic techniques in the Supertank, full of Barramundi.

The Australian Fishing Simulator Championships presented by Uglyfish eyewear will make its debut at the show and is open to all visitors who want to test their skills and battle it out to catch the giant marlin. Spot prizes, thanks to UglyFish Eyewear, will be awarded to lucky anglers.

With the assistance of the Yarra Valley Fly Fishes, sponsored by Jarvis Walker, The Indoor Fly Casting Area is being run by The Australian Trout Foundation, who will offer visitors the opportunity to learn how to fly cast under the guidance from certified instructors.

Whether youve never held a fly rod before or you are a hailed professional, instructors will be on standing by to offer guidance and insider tips and techniques.

The AFN Angling Workshop will have a hype of activity all weekend with the following guest speakers giving great advice -

Bill Classin - knots
Rob Maya - yak fishing
Ross Gould - docklands bream
Trevor Hawkins - fly fishing

With a promise to provide paramount entertainment for the whole family, the gala event will include a reptile display for the kids, the Anaconda climbing wall, monster trucks, freestyle motocross action and loads more.
