Melbourne fishing identities confirmed for new look fishing show

As the National 4x4, Off-Road, Fishing and Outdoors Expo heads into a new era at the Melbourne Showgrounds, event organisers are promising even more for the fisherman with additional exhibition space and an enhanced educational program.

The ever popular Fishing Stage will be hosted by well-known Melbourne anglers, Paul Worsteling and Dave Kramer, the pair holding more than 50 years experience in the industry between then. The duo who regularly feature in popular fishing programs, iFish (Worsteling) and River to Reef (Kramer) will be available to share their knowledge with event goers.

Monster Truck and Wheelie Jeep to make 4x4 Show Debut

After wowing crowds across Australia, the biggest and baddest four wheel drive of them all will make it’s National 4x4, Off-Road, Fishing and Outdoors Expo debut in September, with show organisers today confirming that Australian built-Monster Truck, ‘Sampson’ will be part of the entertainment line-up for this year’s event.

From September 4 – 6, 2009 ‘Sampson’ will feature in three daily shows at the 2009 National 4x4, Off-Road, Fishing and Outdoors Expo. The four and a half tonne machine will perform wheelies and a number of big air jumps.

Boat brands and dealers return to four wheel drive and fishing show

The National 4x4, Off-Road, Fishing and Outdoors Expo will have a much larger boating presence in 2009 with event organisers today confirming an increase in boating exhibitors at this year’s event which will be held at the Melbourne Showgrounds from September 4 – 6.

Mark Petersen from the National 4x4, Off-Road, Fishing and Outdoors Expo said the sector’s positive response to the show relocating to the Melbourne Showground has meant an increase in the number of boats and boating accessories on display at this year’s event.

Vermont resident to go bald for Royal Flying Doctors Service

Friends and Family will be forgiven for not recognising Terry Pedersen next month with the Vermont resident set to shave off his trademark beard and hair to raise money for the Royal Flying Doctors Service (RFDS) at the National 4x4, Off-Road, Fishing and Outdoors Expo at the Melbourne Showgrounds on September 6, 2009.

After three decades of sporting a beard Pedersen has decided to shave it all off to raise money for the RFDS and the valuable medical services they provide to residents and visitors to regional and remote Australia.

Four wheel drive challenges to entertain Melbourne crowds

A selection of four wheel drive owners will be tested at the National 4x4, Off-Road, Fishing and Outdoors Expo with three new activities to be hosted at Melbourne Showgrounds on September 4- 6, 2009.

The confirmation of the contests comes as the event readies for its move to the Melbourne Showgrounds with the outdoor venue providing show organisers with the resources required to stage the All Terrain Short Course Challenge, the Auspit Bull Pull (Tug-of-War) and 4WD Show and Shine.

The 2009 National 4x4, Off-Road, Fishing and Outdoors Expo has been hailed a huge success with strong crowd figures, high exhibitor sales and an action packed entertainment program at the Melbourne Showgrounds on the weekend.

More than 33,250* people attended the National 4x4, Off-Road, Fishing and Outdoors Expo, reaffirming event organisers decision to move the three day show to the Melbourne Showgrounds. The additional exhibition space and outdoor demonstration area proved to be a major attraction for visitors to the show.
