Date change for National 4x4 & Outdoors Show, Fishing & Boating Expo Melbourne

Exhibitor and visitor feedback has promoted organisers of the National 4x4 & Outdoors Show, Fishing & Boating Expo Melbourne to move the 2012 event dates forward to August 24-26.
The change will avoid a clash and subsequent traffic and parking congestion at the Melbourne Showgrounds with the start of the Spring Racing season at Flemington Racecourse, while opening up the nearby carpark to provide an additional 4000 visitor parking spaces.
The event also avoids the opening of Victorian trout season, enabling organisers to expand upon the fly fishing section of the exhibition to cater for enthusiasts who would not normally attend.
Feeback from both exhibitors and visitors has been considered, indicating a preference for the show to fall on a weekend prior to Father’s Day to allow families to spend this special day together.
The Brisbane Boat Show’s date change to the Father’s Day weekend will open up opportunities for exhibitors to be present at both events, a positive outcome for all involved.
“Moving the dates forward a week results in the best outcome for everyone,” said Event Manager Paul Morgan. “We consider all feedback and have no doubt that exhibitors and visitors alike will be in full support.
“The August 24-26 dates avoid a number of clashes which we believe will help exhibitors to maximise sales and reinforce their position as innovators in their industry.”
