Brisbane's ultimate outdoor leisure showcase builds momentum

8 December 2011

Over 75% of floor space has been filled ahead of next year’s Brisbane Tinnie and Tackle Show and National 4x4 & Outdoors Show as exhibitors rush to take advantage of the growing interest in the great outdoors.

Brisbane’s RNA Showgrounds will host the March 23-25 showcase, Australia’s biggest off-road, touring, towing, fishing and boating exhibition.

The co-location of the two shows has been bringing together like-minded leisure enthusiasts for seven years, and 2012 will also mark a milestone tenth year of exhibition for the Brisbane Tinnie & Tackle Show.

Renowned angler and iFish host, Paul Worsteling will make his first visit to the Brisbane event where he will share tips and tricks of the trade with fellow fishing fans.

The official event ambassador will hold a series of presentations on the Fishing Stage across the weekend.

“I’m pleased to be heading north for the Brisbane Tinnie and Tackle Show and National 4x4 & Outdoors show in March,” said Worsteling.

“South East Queensland boasts some of the best fishing spots in Australia and I’m looking forward to sharing a few tips on how to land a catch in salt and fresh water.

“The event is a must-visit for anyone who enjoys fishing, from the beginner through to the experienced angler.”

Jason Plant from the Brisbane Tinnie and Tackle Show said the show was the perfect place to see what’s new in Queensland’s trailerboat industry in 2012.

“The one thing about Queensland residents is that they all love getting out onto the water to enjoy some quality time fishing and this show really does cater for the Queensland lifestyle,” said Plant.

“Not only will the Brisbane Tinnie & Tackle Show feature the latest products but there is also a comprehensive education program which provides individuals with tips to help them land the next big catch."

“We have had a positive response from exhibitors since launching the show, with this year’s event shaping up to be a fantastic showcase of all things fishing and boating-related.”

Club Marine’s association with the show will extend to 2012, and Brett Edmonds, Club Marine Queensland State Manager, is looking forward to another successful event.

“The Brisbane Tinnie and Tackle Show is an important event on the SEQ boating calendar,” said Edmonds.

“Club Marine as a leading provider of boat insurance for more than 40 years is proud to be a sponsor again in 2012.

“This will mark the 5th year that Club Marine has partnered with the Brisbane Tinnie and Tackle Show.

“We are delighted to be involved with this event which continues to go from strength to strength showcasing Queensland’s trailer boat industry.”

Organisers have introduced a free travel option for those wishing to attend the show, with weekend trains from Brisbane’s Central and Roma Street Stations running across the weekend for ticketholders.
