Bigger than ever Brisbane Tinnie and Tackle Show and National 4x4 and Outdoors Show
The sixth annual Brisbane Tinnie and Tackle Show and National 4x4 and Outdoors Show reeled in record crowds for the second year in a row this weekend with over 35,000 people passing through the gates of the RNA Showgrounds.
In the biggest expo in the show's history, more exhibitors, more new product releases and more brands on display provided visitors with a fantastic showcase of what Queensland's trailer boat, camping and 4WD industries have on offer in 2010.
The three day show ran from Friday 19 March until Sunday 21 March and exceeded all expectations. National 4x4 and Outdoors Show Event Manager Mark Petersen said it was great to wander around the show and see so many people enjoying themselves.
"I'm thrilled with how the weekend went. Exhibitor's feedback has been overwhelming. It was a fantastic show, with a great quality of people shopping and browsing, traffic numbers and sales were well up from last year.
"Careflight Australia raised in excess of $3,000 over the weekend from gold coins donated in return for a 4WD test ride around the Action Arena, which was made up of 350 tonnes of dirt brought in especially for the expo" he said.
The Outback Arena was extremely popular all weekend with great presentations from outdoor cooking experts, special guest appearances from Simon Christie of 4WD TV and Pat Callinan from 4x4 Adventures.
On the other side of the showgrounds, the Club Marine Fishing Expo provided non-stop talks and demonstrations all weekend along with heaps of giveaways from leading tackle manufacturers.
Jason Plant from the Tinnie and Tackle Show said that this year's attendance figures were testament to the fact that Queenslander's love getting outdoors and enjoying the boating lifestyle.
"We were privileged to present a range of firsts at this year's show including the international product debut of the Black Watch 22' Centre Console and Tournament 2050 Walkabout.
"The Tinnie and Tackle Show and National 4x4 and Outdoors Show is certainly establishing itself as one of Brisbane's iconic annual events" said Plant.
Highlights of this year's program included the launch of Australia's first ever electric RUV, the crazy Loveday 4x4 Show, the first bream weigh in for the Humminbird Open, and unveiling of a range of products never seen before including the LIFESAVER Bottle, Conqueror Campers and the Nylon Anchor.
